Are you interested in helping us?

As we are a club that is only run by volunteers we are always looking for people to help us.  It doen't matter if you can only spare an hour or so at gala's or you can spare a little time to help with coaching, every little helps.  The club will provide full training for everyone.  Below is a breakdown of some of the tasks we need help with.  If you can help at all, or would like more information please email Shermina Mapxencar

Becoming an Official

• Referee: Holds complete control over the competition, officials, and venue; makes final decisions on rule infringements.
• Starter: Responsible for starting each race, ensuring a fair start, and signaling for false starts.
• Judge of Stroke/Turn Judge: Monitors swimmers for correct stroke technique,, turns, and relay takeovers, particularly observing at the 15m mark.
• Timekeeper: Operates, records, and reports the official time for each swimmer in their assigned lane.
• Chief Timekeeper: Collects and verifies times from all lanes, coordinating with the Referee.
• Place Judge: Determines the finishing order of swimmers.
• Marshal: Organizes swimmers into the correct heats and lanes prior to the race. 

Coaching

We are always on the look out for dedicated individuals that would like to help the first step to becoming a swimming coach or interested in supporting a coach in a club environment.  For more information about Coaching please click here
